Rupert & Iona arrived in our care separately and both had failed bonding attempts with other rabbits, leading us to bond them together within the rescue, which has worked out perfectly. They match each other really well and are now practically joined at the hip! They are looking for a home together, just as a pair.
Iona arrived with us in April 2023 from a large hoarding case where many rabbits were kept together in poor conditions. She was riddled with fleas, which took some time to get on top of, and she has some scarring to her ears from previous injuries sustained from other rabbits. Iona is a big rabbit with a personality to match – she is very sassy and stubborn, and will grunt at you if you are in her way/generally not doing what she wants! She loves to get in the way while we’re cleaning out their shed, especially sitting in the bin bag of waste!
Rupert came into our care after his previous friend passed away in August 2023. He loves a head rub but like most rabbits, hates being picked up! It can take him a little while to settle in to a new environment, but once he’s got to know his surroundings and routine, he’s a happy chap. He is a very neat bunny and uses his litter/hay tray brilliantly.
Iona and Rupert are looking for an adult-only home, with some rabbit experience. They’re a gorgeous, entertaining pair who will bring a lot of fun to their new home!
